Good morning! I think we have an issue with one of the Climate Sensors in Aurora GH1. I did receive an alert email but it’s giving the correct ph. and Ec level reading. Can this be a hardware issue and can you all identify which hardware?
Hi Rohan! This could be a hardware issue. The first thing is to identify which piece of hardware causing the issue. The alert email should tell you which card produced the error.
From there, we usually select the graph icon to look at the data history. If it’s a climate sensor it should be showing temperature and humidity changes on a regular basis. If it has “flat lined” (not showing any changes) then you’ve identified the equipment that is giving problems.
Once you’ve identified the hardware, you’ll want to do basic troubleshooting. Are there lights on? Try turning it off and back on (if it has power), check the plugs to see if any corrosion has built up, etc.
If you’ve got another sensor to replace it with, try replacing it. If the issue still is happening, it may be wires to the sensor vs. the sensor itself.
Generally: 1) identify the unit giving the error, and 2) replace with known good units.
Once the unit is identified, we can help identify if it’s still under manufacturer warranty. We don’t build hardware, but we have good relationships with vendors and they usually have reasonable warranties.
Let me know how it goes,
